Dr. James D. Girardy, founder of Rehabilitation Specialists of New Jersey, is board certified from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He received his undergraduate degree from Johns Hopkins University and his medical degree from Albany Medical College. Dr. Girardy completed his residency at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey–Newark/Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation.
Dr. Pasia received his B.S. from Saint Louis University, St. Louis, MO, and his M.D. from Far Eastern University-Nicanor Reyes Medical Foundation, Manila, Philippines. He completed his internship at Long Island College Hospital, Brooklyn, NY. This was followed by his General Surgery Residency, PM&R Residency, and Chief Resident PM&R Residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY.
Dr. Jacobs received her B.S. from Emory University, Atlanta, GA and her M.D. from Albert Einstein College of Medicine, New York, NY. She completed her Internship in Internal Medicine at Beth Israel Medical Center, New York, NY, followed by her Residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at New York-Presbyterian Hospital Columbia-Cornell where she was Chief Resident.
Philip J. Melchiorre, M.D. received his B.S. from Boston University, Boston MA and his M.D. from UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, Newark NJ. He completed his internship at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch, NJ and his residency at New York University/Rusk Institute of Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, New York, NY. His research fellowship followed at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School, Newark, NJ.
Lisa Veenema, PA-C is a licensed and certified Physician Assistant. She graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Medical Studies and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies, both from King’s College, Wilkes-Barre, PA. She has a broad medical background in family medicine, infectious disease, and musculoskeletal disorders, along with extensive patient experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Lisa’s interests include utilizing less-invasive pain management treatment to bring greater pain relief to her patients.
Dr. Michelle Robalino-Sanghavi received her undergraduate degree from New York University and her medical degree from Ross School of Medicine, West Indies. She completed her residency at Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. Dr. Robalino-Sanghavi is a member of the American Academy of Pain Management, the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and the Association of Academic Physiatrists. Her interests include non-interventional pain management and musculoskeletal medicine.
Dr. Julie T. Lin is board certified from the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. She received her undergraduate degree from Yale University and her medical degree from SUNY at Stony Brook. She completed her residency at New York-Presbyterian Hospital and was Chief Resident in her final year. Her professional work includes Assistant Attending Physiatrist at the Hospital for Special Surgery with a special role as Medical Director at the Integrative Care Center-Affiliated with the Hospital for Special Surgery, and Assistant Professor of Rehabilitation Medicine at Weill Medical College of Cornell University/The New York-Presbyterian Hospital. Dr. Lin is a member of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and the Chinese American Medical Society. Her interests include utilizing medical acupuncture, trigger point injections, joint injections, and spine injections.
Dr. Ryul Kim is board certified from the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine. She completed her residency in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation at New York University School of Medicine Rusk Rehabilitation. Prior to joining Rehabilitation Specialists of New Jersey, she was an attending physiatrist at Bellevue Hospital Center in New York City and was a clinic instructor for NYU School of Medicine. Her interests include musculoskeletal medicine and geriatric rehabilitation.
Shari Koller, PA-C is board certified Physician Assistant. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Judaic Studies and a Master of Arts in Jewish Education, from Yeshiva University, New York, NY, and a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies and a Bachelor of Science in Health Sciences, from Touro College, New York, NY. She has a background in all aspects of patient care at a long-term care and rehabilitation center. Shari's interests include proactive chronic disease care to reduce avoidable hospitalizations.
